The international conference on electric machines and drives is organized to provide an opportunity for experts, professionals, other people working in this field, or those who are interested to work in this field to exchange their views and findings with other experts and researchers around the world in a two days program, through presentation of accepted technical papers, workshops presentation, exhibitions of new products in this field and round table discussion sessions. 
And in specific form it fosters cooperation between individuals, research centers, universities, institutes and organizations on electric motors, generators, transformers, measurement transformers, reactors, tap changers, and electric drive industries. The conference participants can identify potential partners for their future projects or business opportunities, in the related fields. 
From the industry point of view, the conference will provide a platform to discuss new regulations, standards, and policies that may affect the application of new type of tap changers, inverter-based supply transformers, dry type sub-transmission transformers, electric vehicle and drive industry. This will help the participants be aware of the latest changes and accordingly make beneficial changes in their industry.

The 6th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Drives (ICEMD2026) will be held on November 2026, by Sharif University of Technology (SUT), and Iranian Scientific Society of Electric Machines & Drives (ISEMD). ICEMD 2026 focuses on Transformers, Reactors and their important accessories such as “on load tap changers”, electrical machines, their applications, and control.

The working languages of the conference are English and Persian. ICEMD annually gathers industry experts, researchers, and academics to share ideas and experiences surrounding frontier technologies, breakthroughs, innovative solutions, research results, and initiatives related to industrial electromagnetics and electronics devices and their applications.
